Occupational Therapy
At TreeHaus Occupational Therapy (OT) Services focuses on helping children and adolescents with a range of difficulties including children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Sensory Processing Disorders (SPD), as well as mental health issues, other developmental disorders and disabilities. Furthermore, OT services are focused on working with individuals, children and families through individualising therapy to suit the families needs.
Some of the areas that Occupational Therapy will be able to assist children or adolescents include:
- behaviour management
- social skills (including groups)
- risk assessments
- sensory processing skills and emotional regulation
- fine motor skills (handwriting, scissor skills, drawing)
- gross motor skills (catching a ball, balancing etc)
- play skills (imitation, turn taking, object substitution)
